Why Japan Bombed Pearl Harbor?
Japan wanted to bomb Pearl Harbor because they
thought a blow on the American Naval Fleet would give them enough time to conquer
countries in Sotheast Asia. Japan wanted more land in Southeast Asia because they get get valuable recources such as tin, rubber, and oil.

The attack on Pearl Harbor made President Roosevelt declare war on Japan.
One reason the Japanese had a successful attack on Pearl Harbor was the Japanese had a place in Japan that was just like Pearl Harbor. The place in Japan was called Kamioke Bay the practiced there attack at Kamioke Bay.
In 1920 Prince Hirohito was promoted to the rank major in the Army , and lieutenant commander in the Army.
The Americans wanted Iwo Jima because they wanted to do long range bombing missions on Japns mainland .
When Japan was being pushed back into Burma the Americans wanted to destroy the Japanese merchant fleet. The Americans wanted to stop Japan getting rich food supplies from Southeast Asia to the Japanese mainland.
Hirohito's most important work was when he surrendered in World War II.
Iwo Jima is only 4.5 mi long and 2.5 mi wide. Iwo Jima is right near the Bonin Chain of Islands, south of the main Japanese island of Honshu.
